I’m one of those people who’s always looking for a better way to do things.
Although I’ve always worked with software one way or another, for most of my working life it hasn’t been my main role.
I created payroll systems because I was in charge of payroll, stock forecasting systems because I was responsible for long-lead-time stock, quality control systems because I had to manage testing and sign-off - even rainflow calculation systems because customers needed to know what drainage to buy.
The point is that good systems come from the situation they’re needed in.
Talk to me, and I’ll be asking you a lot more than telling you.
I’ve been the one managing an Epicor ERP system on a daily basis, and the winner of a global award from Epicor themselves for the way we implemented improvements.
