Something needs to work with your Epicor system?

Can your ERP do everything alone?

The Epicor Kinetic system is powerful and comprehensive.

You can, probably, do almost everything you need without stepping outside the Epicor ecosystem.

But most businesses, at some point, really want to use something else. Either because a specific system offers functionality that isn’t available, or it does something better, or it’s just really unique.

… so it’s great that Kinetic is powerful and comprehensive enough to be able to work with other systems very well.

At META eight, we have a way of doing this that is very flexible, and has proved robust and user-friendly. It’s an approach that works for a wide variety of systems and technologies.

For you, the key things to know are:

  • That it is usually quite efficient for us to put in place for you.
  • In general it has been very resilient over upgrade cycles, including between ERP10 and Kinetic versions.
  • It works as well for cloud systems as on-premise ones.
  • It isolates all the communication between systems in one part of the Kinetic system. That means that if ever major changes ARE needed, there is one defined place to concentrate on, not components scattered throughout (although naturally the triggers still have to be wherever they’re needed).
  • It’s designed so that in all normal situations it’s maintainable by competent staff who are accustomed to normal Epicor admin such as BAQs, rather than needing further work from us. That includes changing the data that’s transferred, so you can (if you need and want to) change and extend the way it works.
  • It works totally within Kinetic, with no other platform (or on-going cost) involved.

Here are some examples of what META eight clients have used this for:

If you’re interested in a system of some kind (or even already using it) and need it to work closely with Kinetic, you might be surprised at just how seamless it could be. Even with no subscription fee to a platform intended to manage it, just the one-off cost of setting it up.
